Artist Statement
Moving from China to a western country is like landing on another planet.
It was when I arrived in the Netherlands at the age of three that my search for
the nature of individuality really began.
As an artist I have explored the concept of individuality and have tried to show how stereotypes are created through using the same characteristics in several series of photographs with the same background and poses.Each person is different but shown in the same elements.
